G-Star Men’s RTW S/S 2010

Probably the most internationally acclaimed denim brand to come out of the Netherlands, G-Star has gone a long way since its birth in 1989. But has it gone too far? Looking at the brands S/S 2010 collection (shown Tuesday at NY fashion week) one can’t help but wonder where were the denim? For a brand also titled as “Raw Denim” the selection was a bit on the poor side. Saying that – we must also acknowledge G-Star’s sleek fusion of workwear and formalwear, done in the meticulously crafted and detailed way we come to expect from these Dutch innovators.
