4 Stroke Jeans A/W 2010 Lookbook

March 24, 2010

Birthright Blue is 4 Stroke’s newest collection for Autumn/Winter 2010. The eighth season is inspired by parent company Aalfs Manufacturing and reads like a playbook from America’s rich denim heritage. Creative Director, Nathaniel Freeman, modernized classic silhouettes as a nod to Aalfs’ denim achievements since 1892 and their Military ties during World War II. The A/W collection blends an Americana feel with a New York City aesthetic to create a rugged-antique vibe for men and vintage pin-up charm for women. Birthright Blue goes beyond previous offerings to show the label is young at heart with an old soul.

The men’s collection is extremely masculine with heavy distressing on the Vanguard and Bowery styles that are reminiscent of a worker who toiled all day in the field. However, to keep the line diverse Vanguard style has a few washes. The men’s group continues its brilliant selvage program geared towards classic workwear. Warsaw jeans are designed as modern dungarees in raw brown canvas and wax coated canvas. The jeans are also available in other washes such as grey handsand and a washed down brown canvas along with the continuing “Newskin” and “Arrestyourself” washes. Two selvage additions include the Baker barn jackets in raw indigo and raw brown canvas. All jackets were made in New York, including “Mercury”, a dark indigo barn jacket, with a reversible hidden pocket.
